Composite overlay welding

Our independently developed and manufactured composite pipes are ideal for pipeline tubes with requirements for high corrosion resistance and wear resistance, especially high-sulfur oil and gas pipelines. Corrosion-resistant materials can be overlay welded on both the inner and outer surfaces of pipe fittings and pipelines, replacing conventional solid-material pipes to reduce construction costs. As an alternative to mechanically bonded composite pipes, they resolve corrosion-aggravating issues such as blistering and peeling of the composite layer.

OD range for large-diameter pipes: Outer diameter ranging from Φ150 mm to 600 mm, with a maximum length of 13 m.

ID range for small-diameter pipes: Inner diameter ranging from Φ40 mm to 100 mm, with a maximum length of 1.5 m.

Base Metal Welding Materials


Common base materials: 20# / X65 / X70 / X80 / 15CRMO / 12CR1MOV / Q235 / Q345 / 16MN / 316F22 / F65 / 8630 4130 / A105 / A182 F11


Common welding consumables: INCONEL 625/825/600, C276/Monel 400/310/316/309/2209, STL21, etc.

Technological advantages

1. Improved wear and corrosion resistance: Automatic wire preheating ensures that the wire reaches a certain temperature before entering the molten pool, significantly increasing the deposition rate by 4-6.0 KG/H (originally 2.75~4.5), and the dilution rate is less than or equal to 3% (generally greater than 5%), thus improving the alloy purity of the weld overlay.

2. Improved production efficiency: Dual-gun dual-tungsten electrode welding speed can reach 70~90 cm/min, welding time is reduced by 50-75%, and production efficiency is increased three times.

3. Reduced production costs: Automatic hot wire can precisely control the amount of metal filling, reducing the amount of welding wire used in test workpieces by 77%-80%, achieving a welding thickness of 1.5~3.5 mm, and reducing welding costs by 30-50%.

4. Solving end-face welding and environmental protection issues: It solves the problem of pipe welding connection, and at the same time, it adds dust collection and slag removal equipment to solve the environmental protection issues of the welding process.
